**Important News** Important Congregational Meeting will be on Sunday, November 8th following our 10:00 a.m. worship service.
On November 8, 2020, each church will hold a special congregational meeting to vote to accept a TEEM (Theological Education for Emerging Ministries) Candidate to serve in the position of Vicar for the Parish. A letter to families of each congregation has been mailed to inform them of this vote, along with the compensation package.
It is important that members attend this meeting. The meeting will be held following the 10:00 service at Calvary and the 9:00 service at St. John’s. For us to proceed, the vote needs to pass by two-thirds majority of the voters present from each congregation.
We understand your concerns on attending this meeting during the COVID-19 pandemic and we will be taking all the necessary precautions possible to help keep everyone safe. Social distancing and masks are required.
Holy Communion will be Offered Twice a Month with Pastor Betty Wyatt Officiating those Services.
Calvary resumed in-person Sunday worship services at 10:00 on July 5, 2020. We are practicing social distancing and we are encouraging everyone to wear a mask. If you do not have a mask we will have them available when you enter the building along with a hand sanitizing station. You may enter the church from either parking lot. Our services will be led by our lay leader, Edd Hill and Pastor Betty Wyatt. Pastor Betty will be leading services twice a month with Holy Communion. We will continue to record our services and have them available on Facebook and YouTube. We are working on having the services live streamed every Sunday. Thank you for your continued patience as we continue to develop Calvary’s online services.
Our Congregation Voted to Form the Kindred Lutheran Parish between Calvary Lutheran and St. John's Lutheran Church in Birnamwood.
On August 23, at a special congregational meeting, the congregation voted to form the Kindred Lutheran Parish between Calvary Lutheran and St. John’s Lutheran (Birnamwood). Each church will keep its own identity and council. There will be a joint council for the Parish with 3 elected members from each church serving on the Parish Council. Voted to serve on the Parish Council from Calvary are: Alan Bahr, Julie Kubiaczyk, and Jan Young. This is one step further in our goal to having one pastor to serve both churches. If you have any questions, please contact an officer of the church council.
