**Wonderful News!** Vicar Jennifer Sosinski will Begin Leading Church Services on December 6, 2020.
On November 8, 2020, St. John's in Birnamwood and Calvary each held a special congregational meeting to vote to accept a TEEM (Theological Education for Emerging Ministries)candidate, Jennifer Sosinski. We are thrilled to announce that this passed by a two-thirds vote in each of the churches in our parish. Our Kindred Lutheran Parish Council met and they are pleased to share the good news that we have finalized the agreement with Jennifer Sosinski to become the vicar of our parish. Jennifer will start on December 1st and her first church services will be on Sunday, December 6th. With Jennifer leading both congregations services, our church service times will be changing to 8:30 a.m at St. John’s and 10:30 a.m at Calvary. We are excited to work together with the leadership and guidance of Jennifer.
Our Congregation Voted to Form the Kindred Lutheran Parish between Calvary Lutheran and St. John's Lutheran Church in Birnamwood.
On August 23, at a special congregational meeting, the congregation voted to form the Kindred Lutheran Parish between Calvary Lutheran and St. John’s Lutheran (Birnamwood). Each church will keep its own identity and council. There will be a joint council for the Parish with 3 elected members from each church serving on the Parish Council. Voted to serve on the Parish Council from Calvary are: Alan Bahr, Julie Kubiaczyk, and Jan Young. This is one step further in our goal to having one pastor to serve both churches. If you have any questions, please contact an officer of the church council.
